Idle Assembly Clothing

Idle Assembly is an independent clothing label founded and run by brothers Felix Flint Wood and Conrad Flint Wood.

Based in New York, the brand brings together the refinement of their English heritage with the ease of the Bahamas, where they grew up.

The name Idle Assembly comes from the island they grew up on. “No Idle Assembly” is one of ten rules posted around the dock where visitors arrive — a phrase that became an affectionate contradiction for a place where gathering, talking and spending time together is part of everyday life.

Idle Assembly creates elevated everyday clothing built around denim, outerwear and knitwear. The collections are designed to be worn often, across different settings, and to improve with age.

The brand works with materials including Japanese denim and organic US-grown Supima cotton, with production in Los Angeles.

Graphics come from personal stories and references placed by hand rather than being built primarily around a logo.

Collections are produced in small, deliberate quantities, allowing Felix and Conrad to remain closely involved in the design, development, quality and detail of each piece.

Idle Assembly clothing is operated by Felix Flint Wood and Conrad Flint Wood and is separate from Idle Assembly Rum.
